Our Marine Aquarium Maintenance Service is inclusive of the following:
Weekly Cleaning Visit
A weekly maintenance visit is booked in advance and occurs around the same day each week.
Water levels are checked and monitored for nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, pH and salinity. Chemical treatments and salt are then added as required.
Water changes alternate between topping up water lost due to natural evaporation, and a 10% RO water change.
Filter media is checked and rinsed. Pumps, hoses or any other attachments are cleaned if required.
Waste product is removed from the collection cup and skimmer chamber rinsed. Prefilters are also rinsed.
The aquarium glass or acrylic is cleaned to remove algae. The top edges and cover plates are scraped to remove calcium and salt residue. The substrate is turned and gently vacuumed as required.
Marine livestock can be supplied for an additional discounted rate.
The stocking levels will be increased gradually and fish will be closely monitored as their numbers increase to maintain a healthy balance.
Please bear in mind that a new marine aquarium will take at least 6 months to reach maturity and so this is not a process which can be rushed.
A varied diet of frozen food will be provided. Autofeeders are not suitable on a long term basis and full instructions will be given on a daily feeding routine to keep your livestock healthy and happy.
